This page explains how content gets made on Gambling13, what standards it has to meet before it gets published, and how we handle mistakes when they happen. The short version: our guides are written to be useful first, and any commercial relationship comes second and is always disclosed.
How we research our guides
Every guide starts from how a game, betting market, or casino process actually works, not from a single existing article that gets reworded. Where a topic touches licensing, payment processing, or game fairness, we check the claim against the regulator, provider, or testing lab directly rather than repeating something we read elsewhere. Rules, odds formats, and strategy content are checked against multiple sources before publishing, since a single mistaken source can spread the same error across dozens of sites if nobody checks it.
Who writes and reviews our content
Our guides are written and maintained by James Whitfield, an iGaming analyst with 8+ years reviewing online casinos and sportsbooks. Every published page goes through a review pass before it goes live, checking both the accuracy of the information and whether it actually answers the question a reader came with.
How we handle updates and corrections
Gambling regulations, licensing details, and payment options change over time, so guides get revisited periodically rather than published once and forgotten. If you spot an error, outdated information, or a broken link, email us at info@gambling13.com with the page URL and what needs fixing. We aim to review correction reports within a few business days and will update the page once we have confirmed the issue.
Commercial content and disclosure
Some pages on this site include links to casinos or betting sites that we may earn a commission from if you sign up through them. This never determines what we write about an operator. Our How We Rate page explains the criteria used when we evaluate specific operators, and our Advertising Policy covers how commercial relationships are disclosed in more detail. If a page includes a paid placement or sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as such.
What we do not do
We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review, and we do not remove accurate negative information about an operator because of a commercial relationship. If our own testing or research turns up something concerning about an operator we have previously covered, we update the page to reflect that, regardless of any existing partnership.
